Changes to Welfare Rights Service
The Lancaster and Wyre Welfare Rights Team are moving to a new phone number from 21st Jan 2010 – 0845 053 0013 people phoning this number will get the contact centre and can call between 9 and 5 Mon-Fri. This will be the number for all of the Welfare Rights Service.
Welfare Rights Officers will be on telephone duty Mon – Fri 9-4 to answer queries and the contact centre staff will be able to put callers through to this new telephone advice service. This service will be staffed by welfare rights officers across the county who can give advice on the day or if necessary book people in for appointments in their local area.
We have simplified our booking in arrangements for appointments at our main offices at White Cross Lancaster and Fleetwood Library and at the outposts we hold around our two districts. I am attaching a copy of our new service details which detail all of our outposts - see to the right of the screen.
We are also moving our Tuesday afternoon outpost appointments from Signposts on Regent Road in Morecambe to Heysham Library Heysham Road Morecambe from 9th February 2010. Appointments will be made in the same way by contacting the team on the above number.
We hope that these changes will offer improvements in our service to our customers. If you have any queries about our service please do not hesitate to contact us.
