Laundry Services in Care and Nursing Homes in Lancashire

 
Lancashire LINk (Local Involvement Network) is a network of local people, groups and organisations who want to improve health and social care services in Lancashire.
As a result of the LINks’ work in the community it has been highlighted, on several occasions, that there is an issue around non returned laundry to residents of care homes and nursing homes. The LINk has agreed to gather further information around this issue.
The East Lancashire Cluster group of older people's forums are collating information regarding non returned laundry to residents in care and nursing homes. The reason for this campaign is to highlight the distress caused to residents and relatives and to ensure that this issue is covered by the CQC standards.
With this in mind I am writing to ask if you have any evidence to support this campaign and if so I would be very pleased to hear from you. All responses will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
Although this issue is being led by the LINk’s East Lancashire office, our Central and North Lancashire team will also be involved to ensure the whole of Lancashire is covered.
