About the site

This website is produced by members of the public.
It is part of the Wyre internet community portal MyWyre.
If you take this link to MyWyre.co.uk you will see that Wyre Pensioners share the portal with similar websites  for Wyre Councillors, Wyre Schools, Hate Crime and the Wyre Strategic Parnership.
An eclectic bunch I'm sure you will agree.
In layman's terms a "community portal" means a set of tools that help community groups to build simple websites that promote and share their interests with others.
A good example can be found 'down the road'  by following this link to Blackpool4me.
This well established community portal now hosts websites for dozens of organisations across  Blackpool.
The portal chosen by Wyre is called Community Master and is being developed by Weblabs.

If any group in Wyre would like to explore setting up their own site within the MyWyre portal they should of course approach Wyre Borough Council at community@wyrebc.gov.uk
