Surgeries
For the first few months after we were elected, we held regular Surgeries at Thornton Library, but they were poorly attended, and we felt that it would be better to have "Roving Surgeries", where we post leaflets to every house in a small area a couple of days beforehand, telling People that we'll be coming round, and inviting them to put the leaflet in their window if they'd like us to knock.
Most People, however, prefer to contact us directly if they have a problem, and I get a steady stream of enquiries by phone, post, and e-mail. Problems which we have looked into and tried to help with include traffic and parking issues, football in the street, noisy buses, stray dogs, getting an allotment, planning issues, Council Tax issues, and many others.
So please don't hesitate to get in touch. That's what we're here for!
