About Me

I have lived within this Borough all my life. Firstly in the Golden Ball Hotel in Poulton-le-Fylde from 1945 until 1973. Then in Thornton from 1973 to the present day. I am married to Christine and have two adult children, Katie and Robert.

I first got involved in the local community by being a founder member of the Wyre Estuary Protection Society. Things don't change as at the time there was a proposal to build and develop large areas of land in Thornton.

I was invited by the Conservative party to stand in a By-Election in 1979 and represented Staina until work commitments forced me to resign. I stood again in 2004 and I am currently the Leader of the Council.
