Fleetwood Pier on Fire

I went down to see Fleetwood Pier going up in flames, this was the second time in my life that this has happened.The fire broke out at around 4.15am Tuesday 9th September with around 10 Fire engines, the engines were dotted along the prom  with big fire hoses going over 1 mile along the prom getting water from the marine lake. According to news reports the Pier has been completely cutted.How sad I felt to this happening again, the last time I was a very small child the first time and my brother and me along with many Fleetwood kids was under the Pier collecting the pennies that had fallen from the machines. This time is different this time the Pier was not in use, but still very sad no old building should loose it's life like this.

Fleetwood Pier , so I am told, was the last Pier to be built in the Country  It was the heart of the Prom it is were everyone met up and we would walk along the prom on Sunday's my friend and I and always landed up on the pier.

I must say a tear did come in my eye when I watched it burning this morning.
