Welcome to the site of Rtn Cllr Tom I Balmain 

 My wife and I had a fine  Easter Break in the land of living - Kingdom of Fife - when the weather behaved itself and enjoyed a good walk by Celardyke and Anstruther on Good Friday and another nice walk on Easter Monday by the side of Loch Leven in good sunshine. Had a great snack in Loch Leven Larder well worth a visit.

Thank you very much for logging on to my site. I am one of three Councillors who represent Garstang Ward on Wyre Borough Council. I was delighted and honoured to be re-elected again to serve another four years on 5th May 2011 along with Cllr Lady Atkins and Cllr Alice Collinson.

I have been a Borough Councillor since 1999 and find the work of a Councillor most interesting but sometimes frustrating. I was the Deputy Mayor for 2008 - 2009.

I am also a Garstang Town Councillor and was the Town Mayor 2002 – 2003. A very interesting and rewarding year indeed.

It was a great honour for my wife, Alene & I to be the Deputies for the year 2008 - 2009. We are indebted to Cllr Gordon McCann for asking us. It was good to be of service to the Borough. It allowed us to see all parts of the Borough as well as representing the Mayor & Mayoress on Tours of other Boroughs and meet their dignitaries and enjoy their company.

I have been elected as a councillor for Wyre Borough Council for the Garstang Ward to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion. I am a member of the Conservative Party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns.
